Title: Rough running / idling Eaton G40
Post by: DazzaP on July 04, 2010, 07:36:35 PM
Been doing my head in now for months and its getting progressively worse. She just doesn't seem to want to run smoothly at all. Ive cleaned the K&N, checked the plugs, taken off the throttle body and cleaned any gunk off and replaced the gaskets but she still wants to run badly. Going to replace the plugs and fuel filter next week to see if it helps any.

Seems to clear up significantly over 4k. Has anyone any ideas?

Its using a PSD chip, but i've a feeling she's running rather rich...

yeah it's probably going to need a custom map to run right.

It sounds exactly like mine :(

I'm hoping a remap will sort it too. Just need to get the car booked in now i have the cash :)

Well you are a step ahead of me then! Im tight on cash, and to be honest ive covered most other areas of the car to try and get her running right. Ill try and summon up the £300 odd and get her set up correctly. Hard having more than one project car, arg!
