Ok, well this is the gsf description.....

161VG0210  MAIN BEARING SET-STD    PO All With Oil Hole    21.60

so.... is there any reason to buy 2 sets as it does state "All with oil hole"?

I can't see any point in the oil hole in the top half of the bearing anyway, there's no oilway under where the hole is!

turns out they dont all have holes in, or grooves so i still need to buy 2 sets. You get 6 with grooves and 4 without. Still a bargain compared to genuine though.

just put a set of gsf mains in my block, looked good quality (kobenschmidt). I had to buy two sets to get the oil hole in both halves. If you need all the gaskets for the rebuild phone rs engine supplies and speak to Nick 01233661458, he got me all the gaskets, rings big ends e.t.c

can anyone take a photo on the non-hole ones that GSF supply?  Just interested to see what the differences actually are.  As I said before the hole in the half of the bearing that goes into the bearing cap seems useless to me as there's no oil way underneath it.  But if they also don't have grooves in then that seems bad.

Ok, so if you bought a second set you might have some spare ones with grooves in for sale?

I assume he bought two sets and then used all the grooved ones from each.
