Title: 1341cc Headgasket
Post by: Oily Fingers on May 20, 2010, 06:00:50 PM
Right, picking my newly rebored block up saturday and the rebuild will begin.

But somthing that has kinda slipped my mind,  do we use the standard size headgasket or a custom made one (due to the larger bores)????

The standard mk3 polo ones are one piece fibre board and will be fine to use. Some people use a multilayer metal one from a mk4 polo as its thought to be stronger under very high boost pressures but it is thinner and therefore raises your compression ratio. i would use a standard one..
