anyone kno what these are like. needs a transfer box. he reckons it was much quicker than his imprezza turbo which was 350bhp. he not the type to egzagerate either
Guess you mean the 323 turbo 4x4??
the 1.6
0-60 7.8
125mph
148bhp
the 1.8
0-60 7.2
135mph
185bhp
A standard old jap import scooby wrx has around 70/80bhp more is way quicker of the mark and faster top end.
If I have the car model correct and it can do sub 5 second 0-60 and is capable of over 155mph like a 350bhp Scooby would deliver.
£500 sounds like a mega bargain! must be seriously modded?
its the 1.6 16v version
seen it tonight looks very good indeed. not my style of car but sometimes nice to have a change. its been off the road since 2004 75k on clock. he spent £1000 on it 6 monts before it came off the road as he go banned
I guess it the 323 1.6 16v 4x4 Deluxe model
If you can afford buy buy buy they are so rare and faster than most modern 4x4 turbo they have a small turbo witch has no lag and the acceleration is fast and with the grip of the 4x4.
They do rust bad and in area's that are hard to see and fix so give it a real good look check under every panel around the floor pan and seals rear arches also get under the car and check for any bad signs of rust.
My flat mate best mate has a rare 323 1986 4x4 1.6 16v turbo rally witch has some real bad rust he is restoring also has some rare one off wide box arch moulds from the super grass rallying days carbon bonnet SD roll cage spare engine he is a massive bum boy for the old 323.
the 323 was also raced in the days of the group b rallys and mostly raced in the group A class and dominated a fare amount of races.
and they eat scoobys! all day long! a must buy if you can get it you will not be disappointed!
But parts are rare but if you have the spare cash and a area to store it until a box comes available you again will not be disappointed check www.323gtx.co.uk to find out all you need to know.
its also worth more than £500 quid!
if its as rare as my mate has said or as rare as cheddercheese has said then i might get it.
i like my rare cars but aint a jap lover. but kudo's where its due for the power of these things.
could always get the box refurbed?
i knew a loony chap who owned one years ago and it really moved
watched him many times scaring the utter shit out of people drifting it round roundabouts (he was VERY loony!)
how much do you guys reckon this is worth?
probably a once in a lifetime chance to get one of these
I'd find out how much a transfer box was first and then decide.
have been researching a little
very impresive car i have 1 aswell as a g40
mine is a 323 turbo deluxe
check all thing in posts above
my mate who has just recently bought a G40 sold his 323 turbo after getting fed up with trying to get parts for it.. everytime it broke it tooks weeks to get it sorted out. other than that as far as i know he loved it and it seemed pretty damn rapid!
Kind of mk1 astra/talbot sunbeam type shape? Proper rare and one of the only cool jap cars imo.
im getting put off by the fact im struggling to find a transfer box on the net. if i can find one i might get this with some spare disco money i will have this month
