Title: sump removel
Post by: jake_smith on May 09, 2010, 08:05:34 PM
Just searched but couldnt find anything.

Does the gearbox have to be removed before you can take the sump off? I hope so as ive got all bolts off and it moves aboutttt 4mm and wont go anywhere after that.

The side closest to the box its catching on the flywheel when you pull the sump down. So im assuming you pull the other side down 1st then move it across to clear the flywheel. But the side furthest away from the box wont come down anymore than 2mm.

Am i missing something?

Sorry about all the threads latley, just trying to get it sorted liakkke lol

No, you don't take the gearbox off...
Have you removed a black plate that has a 11mm bolt?
After you unbolt this, you'll see a couple of alen sump bolts...
