Anyone know the part number for a 1w crank?
ETKA shows 2 1w crashafts
1) 031 105 021 J
2) 031 105 021 L
Cheers for the help... don't suppose you would be able to help me with another part number?
The crank has a few different numbers on it.... GER8 DE 031E AB1448
Trying to find out exactly what the crank is out of,anyone able to help?
Also found another part number on a star shaped piece attached to one end of the crank

well thats a part number - its unknown in ETKA though mate. ive even tried swapping a few numbers/letter combos to see if you made a typo. have another good look at the number mate and make sure its correct
The part number you have listed thats on the 'star thing' is for the oil pump gear ring i would assume. The reason this does not come up on ETKA is because this is not available to buy seperate from the crank (never has been) and was just used as a reference number during production.
These are all the crank numbers, hope this helps mate.
030 105 021 BB = AAU, HZ, ACM
030 105 021 AP = 3F, AAV, 2G, NZ
031 105 021 AC = PY
031 105 021 J = 1W
031 105 021 L = 1W
So what do I do to check the crank if mine doesnt have any of the part numbers listed above on it?
From G-laderseite.de...
G40:
AD 1448 031E GER8
1.4 Diesel:
AE 1438 031L GER4
Probably worth getting a few of the people on here with 1W cranks to have a butchers at theirs to confirm though!
If its marked like the VW camshafts the part number will be stamped in the abreviated format 031 L etc
Just looked through my build pics and this is the best i can do
