Title: bottom arms?
Post by: grayg40 on April 21, 2010, 10:12:06 AM
as above, are the bottom arms on the G the same as other mk3 polo's?
1 of my bushes are gone so i thought i would just replace the whole arm for easyness.
phoned vw and they said they were £85 +vat per side, so i phoned my local motor factors place and the quoted me £25,
is there any differance between polo's? cheers

would a non G40 one do the job as they look nearly identical. i know the bushes are not as tight but would it do?

No

if your gonna fit non G40 one's then I'd change the pair, but be prepared for less responsive suspension/steering( a sacrifice I wouldn't make)

Alternatively if the outer bush only has gone then you could fit uprated powerflex ones.

Are you sure that your G has still got the OEM rose jointed ones fitted??

cheers, my inside bush has gone (opposite ball joint) but vw can supply them so just going to press in a new bush rather than the whole arm.
where's the best place to get power flex bushes from?
