Title: Broke down!
Post by: BrettG40 on March 30, 2010, 07:02:21 PM
I was on the way home from work, seriously low on petrol as usual but ive made it home just about on less before and i werent exactly booting it. luckily it cut out right by a pub/restaurant so being as light as it is i pushed it onto the carpark. What made it worse was the fact my battery on my phone ran out the previous night and i thought nah sack it ill leave my phone here today cant be arsed to charge it. So had to borrow some dudes phone in the pub to ring my bro to bring me some fuel lol, ive put a tenners worth it and its still not firing, cranking fine the powers there. Any ideas guys?

Cheers,
Brett.

Fuel blockage from being empty? Fuel Pump failed from running dry?  No fuel pressure?  Relay or fuse gone pump wise?  can you hear it prime?

Just towed it back to the garage, what an experience that was, my mate was towing me at an average speed of about 25......dodge! But yeh i got there and it started sweet first time, i got about 100 yards and it died again and now it wont crank at all.

I had a very similar situation a little while ago but i took the plug off, blew it, stuck it back on and gave it a wiggle and it hasnt bothered me since.
