Post by: SuperMario on March 18, 2010, 04:29:43 PM
A compression test comformed my head gasket gone, now its all bein done, seemd to go smooth replaced many things along the way, now when i start it up it ticks over sweet, but it gets a bit lumpy when it warms out, and starts chucking the water out, then the fan kicks in and it calms down, its asif the fan is to late?? but the temp gauge gets upto 80 at the max?? also on a brand new 4branch no.2 seems to get alot hotter than the rest??

new parts:
Thermostat
water pump
plugs
coil pack
leads

so i no there all ok

any info/advce would be great!

Thanks

What were the headgasket failure(s)? breach between cylinders etc/oil /water etc? The new parts listed above, were these changed with the headgasket or just recently (before the HG went)?

head gasket was gone between cylinder to a water jacket, parts were done before it went, bar the waterpump and cambelt.

thanks

Hmmm...
As the car heats up and runs badly, are both the top and bottom radiator hoses hot or just the top hose? Maybe a late opening thermostat..?
