Title: Price check: 51mm TB
Post by: LeonL on March 01, 2010, 11:27:43 PM
Hi guys,

I have a G40 51mm TB including butterfly that i plan to sell in a week or two. However i have no idea what it would be worth, any ideas? How much have others sold for? What did PSD used to charge?

Thanks

Leon

So you'd say about £100 is a fair price that'll sell without much trouble?

Cheers

psd ones were well ported too - not just a bigger butterfly.

I'd say people would snap yr hands off at that price and might pay £150 if its a psd one

Do you mean opened up below the butterfly to match the inlet manifold better? Any material removed from around the idle screw hole? Anyone got any pics? As you may have guessed I'm planning on fettling mine!

they were ported from the inlet side and smoothed into the butterfly

psd would do a fair bit of porting on the elbow on top too

Is there much removed above the butterfly, isn't this limited because of the T-piece anyway? I guess the ported ones are quite thin on material on the inside radius then. I'm planning to go at this with a 60mm flap wheel wedged in, see if that gets me anywhere.
