who needs a van when you've got a polo?  I used to fit all sorts of crazy stuff in the back of the GT breadvan I used to have.  Including some double wardrobes from my mum's house to my house (dismantled mind but still!)

also transported a 1960s massive compressor which now lives in my garage, that wasnt exactly lightweight!  My GT was a right work horse!  Could fit bigger things in there than I can in my saloon passat boot.

and when my mum moved house a couple of years ago, I removed the rear seats from my GT, lined the back with plastic sheet and used it like a skip to take loads and loads and loads of things to the tip in, including emptying out 20 years of junk that had accumulated in a shed.

I drove my G40 conversion from Pete's place near Sheffield, across to Buxton to Dan's, Manchester (overnight stay) then back to Cardiff. And whenever I've moved house it's always made a great van :)

The boot's nowhere near as big as the Passat of course, but that massive loading area means you can get larger items in.

Not the Polo, but I've had only the drivers seat in my mk2 Golf and a couple of full size 8ft railway sleepers in there. And it's been almost on the bump stops with the back full of paving slabs. It's not sat right since....

3 people could not lift that engine it was so heavy i think because of 4wd gearbox on it. can any one guess what it is from?
