Title: steering shaking?
Post by: supercharged spaniel on February 21, 2010, 02:27:08 PM
on the motorway.. between 75-80 mph the car steering shakes horribly?  I've had a good look underneath and cant spot anything obvious.  Any ideas where to start?

it seems to be fine until motorway speeds 75-80 and when braking down from 80-75.  Im only a little concerned as I changed wheels recently and took them off. Both the ones I removed and the ones I put back on (the bbs) are doing it. hmmm it seems fine when accelerating, it's more cruising and braking down/slowing past 80-75.  Cv joint you say Rae?

shaking aorund those speeds is nearly always wheels needing balancing in my experience.
