SohailG40
ive got h+r's and i find them to stiff for daily use great for handling though i do have to say. can't comment on anything else realy as i havn't had them but if i was doing it again id have kw varient 2's as there damepning adjustable so you can wind them off a bit for the roads and on for the track !!!
thanks mate for your reply i think i might go for the kw kit as it sound like the right one for me they r very expensive tho ?? like all g40 coilovers
dose anyone recomend gaz??

are the gaz shocks a hard ride all the time or r they adjusteble ??
there adjustable!
not to expensive either there around £680 for a set i think
Yeah they're adjustable
leader will make you whatever you want if your rich!
thats if leader still exsist!
I've KW V2's on mine and I find them more comfortable than the Koni's and Eibachs that were on it before :D
Just remember to constantly keep them sealed and weather tight. I used to use the lubricant spray, but would just wash off in rain or during washing, was constantly reapplying every week or more. Eventually the threads just corroded and the spring platforms stuck solid. Had to go back to KW in Germany to get refurbed (free of charge though). KW coilovers are stainless steel, apart from the polo ones as like all polo coilovers use modified hubs. They are just zinc plated (think), which soon gets taken off from the spring platforms being wound down the threads.
I would assume most other polo coilovers are the same...
i wrap insluation tape around the threads on mine seems to work ok keeps grit and dirt out then just un wrap the tape when you want to adjust and put some more on when your done
if i were to choose out of the kw's or the H&R's which one of the would be the best for the polo ??
I would personally get kw variant 2 if i could afford them but i prefer kw to h&r.
id go for kw but depends if your going to use it mainly on track id go for h+r but if on the road a fair bit two go for the kw or the h+r cup kit is realy good bit of kit just isnt hieght adjustable on the front . half the price though !!
ok i think i will look in to getting the kw's v2 as i am going to be using the car as a daily ride :)
Has anyone found a good price to get them? I know awesome gti do kw v2 for about £950 i think.
£950
thats a gd price i got given prices of just over a grand
plus i got told that i would have to give my shocks in for about 2 or 3 weeks for them to biuld them is that true ??
Holy Cow Batman, they've shot up in price since I bought mine a few years ago. Think i paid circa £650. :o :o
lucky man you got them at a right time :)
dose any one out there no were i can get a gd deal without sending my shocks off for a long time they have to be kw or h&r
thanks
If you need the car on the road, get a pair of legs from a breakers and stick them on 'til you get your coilovers back. Better still, keep your existing legs on the car and send on the ones from the breakers. It's only the core of the strut, ie; the bearing and damper housings that are used, the rest is binned anyway.
That's what I'd do.
The "best" is Bilstein coilovers from Sorg Motorsport. Around 2500 euro ;)
thats a gd idea i better get digging out for some old struts
i guess i only need the front not the back to send off
