I've KW V2's on mine and I find them more comfortable than the Koni's and Eibachs that were on it before  :D

Just remember to constantly keep them sealed and weather tight.  I used to use the lubricant spray, but would just wash off in rain or during washing, was constantly reapplying every week or more.  Eventually the threads just corroded and the spring platforms stuck solid.  Had to go back to KW in Germany to get refurbed (free of charge though).  KW coilovers are stainless steel, apart from the polo ones as like all polo coilovers use modified hubs.  They are just zinc plated (think), which soon gets taken off from the spring platforms being wound down the threads.

I would assume most other polo coilovers are the same...

i wrap insluation tape around the threads on mine seems to work ok keeps grit and dirt out then just un wrap the tape when you want to adjust and put some more on when your done

If you need the car on the road, get a pair of legs from a breakers and stick them on 'til you get your coilovers back. Better still, keep your existing legs on the car and send on the ones from the breakers. It's only the core of the strut, ie; the bearing and damper housings that are used, the rest is binned anyway.
That's what I'd do.

The "best" is Bilstein coilovers from Sorg Motorsport. Around 2500 euro ;)
