Title: Gapping Spark Plug
Post by: NKS on January 20, 2010, 01:45:10 PM
Hi all,

Just purchased a new set of plugs for the G40, Bosch W5DPO.

What is the correct gap for these plugs?

I always left them as they came, but recently saw the light and gapped my Impreza correctly and the difference was noticeable.

Thanks,
Nishi

they come set right.  I seem to recall 0.6mm being about rghit but I could be wrong.

Ah-ok - thanks for the info!

I will check them when I put them in to ensure they are all set to 0.6

Autodata books say 0,8mm for the w5s and 0,6mm for the g60 ones (w6s)

All plugs normally come gapped at 1mm so for your G you'll need to close it else it might miss under load!
