I read on matey matey that the G40 had some sort of cold air feed around the headlight standard.
Never seen this apart from a little i can make out on that 5000km french car for sale, anyone got any pics just out of interest (G40 nerdyness wants to see more standard parts!) matey matey also said to bin it cause it restricts air flow as well as the silencer trumpet, your guys views on this?
Thanks.
The snorkel from the airbox goes into the cold air feed behind the headlight.

So I assume it's a restriction.
I've ditched it for a length of cold air feed pipe.
ah man that looks sexy! never seen one around / for sale.
btw alex you got a photo of your exhaust manifold on after the ceramic coating?
Thanks!
Nope, I wound up selling it on. Gonna get a four branch at some point.
i have half of that, as mine came off after hitting a pothole, and then lodged in my v belts.
I cant see how it would be a restriction though, getting cold air should be better?
who knows! loads of myths out there!
I left mine on after fitting the cone filter. Thought it looked a bit bare without it, and with no airbox I dedided it can't do any harm!
Any body got the said part they wanna sell?
Pm me ;D
I still have mine. Can't see the issue. Just leave it be i say.
If you have a stock airbox and remove the plastic bits round the headlamp it makes a really annoying noise.
