Title: best place for a pair of standerd mirrors

hi over the weekend some little chavs tried braking into my g and all they managed to do is rag off both mirrors b4 they woke me up any way i need a pair of mirrors and am having trouble finding some and and a cheap prise

check the cars breaking section on club polo.  Nothing g40-specific about them.  Or go and look round some scrapyards if you can find any that still have cars as old as mk3 polos (ones near me crushed all the mk3s they had thanks to scrappage scheme filling them up with late-90s crap).

I thought G40 one had an extra fixing point?

Not that it really matters as you don't see them.

an extra fixing point on the wing mirror?  Never heard that before and I can't see why it would be the case.  As far as I'm aware the only difference in mirrors are the cable adjusting ones and fixed glass ones.  G40 will have cable adjust ones as did many other mk3s

weirdly gt and g40 ones have 3 screws affixing the baseplate - others have 2

I thought i remembered reading it one here, was in one of them threads where all the geeks come clean on weird stuff they know ;)

grey G emailed me saying he has a set so may be worth asking him too if all else fails! he gave me a very good price too but you can confirm that with him!  ;)
