Post by: SuperMario on December 21, 2009, 07:32:47 PM
What would happen if you put one of them (middle one) on the wrongway round?

the cam bore won't be aligned as the caps are machined when fixxed to the head to ensure high centricity (sp) for the cam to sit.

You will have to have a look to see if there is any scoring. The damage will depend on how far off the central line the bore was machined. Sometimes you will find they are near dead centre, others can be further off. You will see this when you offer up the cap the wrong way round to the seat (without the cam in place) and look at the 'circle' that the cam sits in!
