hi, just bought a PSD eaton cam for my project, without measuring the durations etc, how can i tell that its a eaton cam? should there be something stamped on it? also it seams to have a fuel pump drive, did all eatom cams have this?
really any info on the cam at all would be very useful to me
thanks

Thats what everyone else wants to know aswell, Tis a mystery! :D no one yet has had there's measured up yet afaik. Also fuel pump drive... as in a mechanical fuel pump?? That wouldn't be a G40 item then.
ye, it has a mechanical fuel pump drive, so do eaton cams not usually have one? does anybody have a picture of a eaton cam i compare mine to
thanks

I never went Eaton, but an Eaton is just a supercharger replacement effectively, stil can use the G40 OE pump as far as im aware. You sure its not for a N/A old skool Polo engine, say GK or HH?
no, its definately for a hydraulic head engine, some of which had a mechanical fuel pump when used in the late polo mk2's, so im under the impression that when the cam was being manufactured they based the same design on the early hydraulic camshafts with a fuel pump lobe, but with the specific eaton cam durations, can someone confirm this?
thanks
