he bought it at 53 with some redundancy...  and specced a gt interior as he thought the g40 ones were vile.  its been off the road last 6 years, only got 49k on the clock.

I bet your parents cried too when you turned up with another g40 to put away in a garage. ;)

Looks nice though.

That is really good, shame for him though.

Looks brand new too.

And here was me thinking I'd be the oldest G owner in the country. Mind you, he'd only be sixty four when he stopped driving it, so I might still be the oldest driver. Full marks for finding the car Pete, but you'll probably have to keep it for another forty odd years to claim the title.

I am still almost speechless regarding this latest find.

How did you find it? Was it advertised at all or did you track it down yourself?

super sleuthing!!!!  plus when you help run clubg40, you chat to a lot of owners!

had a couple of low milers come to my attention in last year - both by original elderly owners.  this one was nicest colour and most affordable!

Black is the nicest colour agreed.

Does look minty from what I can make out on my iPhone.

I could do with a stock G just to polish when i'm bored :(

niceone Pete, so you did decide to buy it then, it looks absolutely mint, and i bet it was really well looked after. has the charger ever been serviced?? what are you going to do with the interior?? i'd leave it, its certainly a one off,  :)

Reminds me of when i got mine last year. a 'mature' man owned it, had been of the road for 8 years but looked as though he'd still polished it once a month, 39k when i bought it  ;) bet he was gutted selling it to a 19 year old  :D but i think he would be happy knowing it is now in the garage until summer.
I'm finding it hard though, as im using a ford sierra as a daily  :P

Hey Pete,

This car must have come from the same garage as my old White G40 that just sold for nothing on ebay.
It's reg was K39 BGM

Enjoy the new car.  I had a black one as my first G (about 12 years ago now!) and it always looked amazing then polished up.  Might go and give mine a ploish now after reading this thread.

Cheers Craig.

Thats a real find! I bet you are well pleased. Look after her and keep the miles down, got to be less than a handful of examples like that!
