Drum brakes only - even the Cup cars.
no mk3 polo ever came with discs at the back and in my opinion they don't need them, even on track. Pretty much all the braking on a FWD car as light as a polo is done by the front brakes so spend your money there.
What front set up are people recomending these days Mr Hayes?
If you want bigger then 256mm discs and vauxhall calipers with the correct carriers or a 4pot wilwood 256/280mm golf mkI gti kit fits if you want to spend the money (and have the wheels to go over them). If you wanna stay standard then a new set of discs a set of fast road pads will do. Some new brake fluid and general overhall all round including the rear drums will see a big improvement!!
yer thats what i thort drums only on rear drums are more efficiant than disk's any ways as the brake shoe has more surface in contact with the drum it self.
check this out though http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190352568358&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_4560wt_939
i sent him a message asking if they are for the drums and he say's no for rear disk's as some g40 come with disk's what a complete tool hope he gets done for folls adrvertising lol
sorry about spelling its been a long day lol
Im gonna get brembo drilled disc's and yellow stuff pads. Only place i know of that does yellow stuff pads is venom.
Im not gonna bother with bigger disc's or rear disc conversion.
I have used green stuff pads with grooved black diamond disc's and thestopping power was very good and strong. I was also running toyo proxes which helped.
