Title: Boost gauge ?
Post by: metz on December 09, 2009, 10:21:42 PM
I'm looking for a boost gauge for the g40 that lights up green to fit in with the rest of the polo dash. Any ideas chaps?

my autometer one just has a bulb in the back of it and it came with some little filter caps to put over it, one is green and one is red.

yeah it's basically the same as that but white and silver.  I've had it a few years though.

I live just north of manchester, near bury.

I think I've still got the little filtery things somewhere, if I find them I can post the green one to you if you want.

you need one that goes negative as well as positive and if you are staying g-lader then one that goes up to about 1 bar 16 psi.  If you get one reading 50psi it wont be very accurate!

just avoid the cheap and nasty "autogauge" rip off ones if you are looking on fleabay.  I think there's various web shops selling Autometer gauges in the UK.
