Title: Standard polo altenator tensioning
Post by: dub-disaster on December 09, 2009, 06:18:42 PM
I'm going turbo and have got a 55amp altenator from a standard mk3 polo to fit and a standard Engine mount and crankshaft pulley is this all I need isn't there like an arm that mounts between the engine and the top bolt of the altenator with a slot init that's used to adjat the position of the altenator and inturn tension the belt??
This is a shot in the dark but does any one have one of these hanging arums I could buy if not is it a scrappy job??
Any pics of altenator setup on a turbo'd car would be appreciated along with any info
cheers guys

you need the bottom arm that goes between the bottom of the alt and he engine block which has the adjuster built into it.  Get one from any non-g40 mk2 or mk3 polo.  No pics but it just mounts in the exact same way as it would on any polo
