Yep, I know it well. Used to belong to James aka Petrified, and lived in Cardiff. Was then bought by a guy called Luke, also from South Wales, who sunk a lot of cash into an AWT Eaton conversion mapped by PSD. Last time I saw the car it was a stripped shell on Luke's driveway having melted three pistons chasing an M5 on the way to Santa Pod.
This is the for sale ad, posted in 2006 according to the forum but I'm sure that's a year out. I bought the wheels off this in June 2006 after Luke had broken it for parts.

I'll dig up some post-AWD pics...
OK I'm confusing myself now - a bit of scanning through old pics and all's clear
James has owned three G40s, all of which are red (one's a saloon) and all of which were on 14in BBS RAs. He sold his first one (J940 XWF) to Luke in summer 2005, this was the one which melted three pistons early in 2006. Then he bought this one (J409 RFJ) sometime in early 2006. According to the for sale thread it was being sold to someone "London way" - this one's listed in Berkshire so I guess it's still there.

Cheers alex very helpful. As its listed as having 1341 conversion at jabba only 800 miles ago i was thinkign whats the catch then.
No probs, I've got about a decade of Club Polo meets, project pics and so on so it's not difficult researching stuff.
You'll probably be alright with it - I remember it being a pretty straight shell. Same with the one which ended up as an Eaton, was mint until it died. :D
