New decent quality tappets in, seem to be coming from the end(ish) area of the gearbox? but i didnt think anythink could tick from over there? any ideas?
cheers
does it go away when you press the clutch? just checking its not the thrust bearing. they can rattle sometimes.
or a leaking exhaust manifold gasket, seems to be about 3 or 4 threads on the go about similar issues at the moment
I shall have to try the clutch tomorow, deffo not a manifold gasket its practicly welded on! Really baffeling!

or if its the standard exhaust manifold; has the blue rubber cap on the metal pipe which comes out the right hand side of the manifold come off/split?
dont want to make a new thread so sorry for the hijack. but what is that pipe?
it's for connecting an exhaust gas analyser up to instead ok poking a probe up the tailpipe.
We can settle this case as a manifold downpipe gasket, cheers for the advice ;) you people never let me down!
