Title: brakes!!!
Post by: jgb888 on November 17, 2009, 09:41:58 PM
Hi all,
I have pretty naff rear drums, just wondered if there was an inexpensive upgrade or they are inter changeable with a golf etc etc

Cheers ;D

Hi again,

I'm confused!!, got some advice from swiftg40 (cheers fella) which he suggested g40 (239mm) disks or golf mk2 (256mm) and calipers off an audi 80. great but are the golf calipers not ok to use or does it definately have to be the audi, not only that but what width of disk do they have to be to be compatible.
i can pick up an audi 80 coupe 1993 caliper for about £30 each (good buy?)

Cheers all   :P

he said golf discs and audi carriers  not calipers. You can use the audi or golf calipers - both are girlings.

The audi 1993 carriers will be too late.
