Title: Oil Light.. HELPPP
Post by: raf898 on November 17, 2009, 04:15:43 PM
Hi Just Got My Supercharger Back From Jabbasport And I Fitted It The Other Night..
Last Night I Was Driving Home And My Oil Light Came On And Started Make A Loud Beeping Noise Than Instantly Went Back Off..
So This Morning I Checked My Oil Level And It Looked Fine, So I Thought It Was Nothing But I Was Driving For About 10 Mins Today And It Started Going Off Again But This Time Was Constant So I Pulled Over Checked My Oil Again But Was Still Fine, The Car Was Hot So Im Guessing It Wasn't An Accurate Reading On The Dipstick..
Has Anyone Got A Clue What The Problem I Have Can Be?

Please Helpp..

Cheers

the noise is due to one of the senders on the head going off - low or high pressure.  One of the wires not connected? poor contact? knackered sensor?

Ooo Would It Happen If There Was To Much Oil?

If So I Think We May Of Found The Problem..

Does Anyone Know How Much Oil The Engine Take's?

And What Can Happen If There To Much Oil, Worst Case Senario?

Cheers

too much oil and it'll potentially start blowing oil seals.  The engine takes about 3.2 litres but dont just go pouring that much in, use the dip stick to get it right.

Also, I know this isn't on topic but what's the deal with the capital letters on every word you type?  That must take ages to do!
