Finaly got some of these in stock after much searching!
either in federal mogul or jp group (both quality german brands)
£26.50 plus vat 2 club g40 ppl!
only avabile from ecp redhill (so dont ring the mailorder or another branch and expect the same deal!)
If i can get more oe number's i plan on stocking at least one of most things in stock in the branch! Especialy as i have Mr jackson just down the road! lol
dan
do these have the oil hole in both sides or will we need to buy two sets to get oil holes in both sides? I know that's the case with GSF bearings.
If they do have holes in both sides then I'll take a set to put on the shelf.
ive got most the bearings, seals and powerflex bushes at my branch now
just waiting on piston rings, valves and some other bits and pices that are on order from the ppl that make them. Once ive got everything and got my g40 expert (Mr phill j lol) 2 stop in and check there all correct. ill be photographing or stealing pics from our cattalogs of all the bits and making up a pdf with all the parts, part numbers and photos to make life easer for anyone trying to get parts!
You will be able 2 order any of these bits from any eurocarparts branch as they can get them from my branch however the discount (for now) will be from my branch (collection only)
if any one has anything they want 2 add, anything they want 2 see on the list please let me know!
And any oe numbers that you have would save me soooooooo much time!
oh right, so I'd have to go to redhill to get them. I'll leave it then thanks. Although did you find out if they have oil holes on both halves of the bearings? I know the ones from GSF don't so you end up having to buy two sets (although it still works out cheaper than buying one correct set from VW).
No you can go 2 any branch! as soon as ive done the list you can order them and collect them from any branch as i will give you a long list of the partnumbers!
However till i can get a group discount set up, i can only give discount for parts ordered from redhill!
I am working on this!
any chance of sorting out clubg40 a members discount?!? to use at any store? or is that what you meant?
Yes mate thats what i ment!
Once ive sorted out the pdf (much like the ones euros used to do for the aircooled stuff!) and present it 2 my big big boss part of it will be 2 give a group discount card out.
But ive still got quite a bit of work 2 do yet so any help chaps would be much welcomed!
cool, perhaps stuff like top mounts, wheel bearings, spark plugs, thermostat housings etc could be included?
what plugs do ppl recomend for g40's and gt's??
not sure about gts but bosch w5dp0 for g40s or ngk bp7evx

I got mine from vw a few months back and they have the oil holes in both sides.
Would like a spare set to keep in the unit.
Ive never seen big end shells with oil holes in. We arent talking about main bearings here are we?
Ive just fitted a set of £11 china-tastic big end shells to mine. No holes at all lol.

Think people are mixing up big ends and main bearings!
Mains (in your block) with holes
Big Ends(on the fat end of your rods) no holes
yes I was indeed thinking of the mains!
I suspected as much ::) ;D
