a mechanical fuel pressure gauge with a stainless braided hose from the charger oil outlet to the dash board.  Then use a double banjo bolt on the oil drain.

if this is excessively high or low, it all works off the engine oil pump... so i'd want to know the oil pressure within my engine.

Need to sort a load out....

Pete,
I took the dome off on saturday morning and ran it. No oil coming through the charger! So need to rig up gauges for charger and engine. see whats happening.

Noticed in your document it said run it under 3k for a couple of hundred miles...... if all is well i will do it :)

Interested to see how you do this - I wouldn't mind rigging up something similar on mine as I suspect low oil pressure to my charger.

Any chance of posting up a diagram and some more info?

Thanks,
Jason

just get a double depth banjo bolt the same size as the charger outlet bolt, then run a pipe from the 2nd connection on that to a fuel pressure gauge (or some other type of mechanical pressure gauge) mounted on the dash.

I'm not sure what use this is with the charger still being lubricated from the engine oil though, I only did it when I was using a stand-alone oil system to make sure it was working.  If you think one of the oil lines is blocked, disconnect the one from the t-piece on the head and then make sure oil flows out of it when the engine is running.

All lines are clear.... got a gauge that goes up to 7 bar :)

Just for a piece of mind.

All i have done is disconnect the old pressure switch and fit my new sender unit there. Then a few electrical connections to the gauage and away we go.

Now back to the sump gasket :(

Thanks everyone
