Need to buy some vacuum hosing and high pressure poly tubing for my kit.
Where'd be the best place to buy it from?
How do you measure the nozzle size and what would be the best size to use?
The nozzle goes into the boost pipes after the intercooler. Am i best of drilling a hole into my boost pipe (its metal) and screwing the nozzle in?
ERL (aquamist) sell nylon tubing which is what I use with mine, since it's an ERL kit anyway.
You can also get the nozzles from ERL, 0.3mm is what people tend to use on g40s.
Yeah screwing it into a hole drilled into a solid pipe is the best bet. If you use an ERL nozzle you need to get an m8x0.75mm thread tap which can be bought from ERL again or off ebay.
Mines a coolingmist kit so not really a proper aquamist kit (but does the same thing).
You think the nozzles will be the same? I got 3 nozzles with mine but have no idea what size each one is!

is the cooling mist kit just as good as the aqumist kit as its a damn sight cheaper and includes a tank !! or is the aquamist alot better kit ??
I cant give you an answer on that as i got my kit pretty cheap off ebay! I didnt get a tank though so need to find one (preferably a shiny one).

will silicone pipe be affected by methanol?
...and am i right in thinking the boost valve cotrol thing would be best off being inserted into the pipe from the ECU?
no dont put anythign in the pipe to the map sensor

it squirts a fine mist of water into your boost to lower charge temps to save your engine from heat mainly for saving your valves, once mixed with methonal it gives you peformance advantages.

it's a good way of suppressing detonation, the methanol burns slowly and in a controlled manner meaning that you can have more ignition advance with high boost and hence more power. And it also reduces inlet temps too.

did the kit not come with any instructions? Not sure how much help I can give really, I know how my ERL Aquamist kit goes together but this one is different. The ERL kit comes with a proper loom with connectors and full instructions.
You'll need the pressure switch though, that's what actually actives the aquamist, otherwise it'd either be on constantly or never on at all.
I've downloaded the instructions but they're not very clear at all!
I'll have a play around with the bits and see what happens.

unless im blind (quite possible), i cant find no mention of the pressure switch so unsure where it goes and not sure of the flow of the pump and filter as the filters different to the one shown in the instructions and neither had any markings on to show this.

pressure switch should act like and on/off switch for the pump so it only switches on at decent boost levels.

Been looking at install pics online to try and work out where stuff goes.
wiring to boost switch, pump and connected relay is sorted. Its just the damn pressure switch (although i do have an idea......)

page five tells you what to do with the boost switch, although the one in your pic doesn't look like the one in the instructions.

Well the worst that can happen is i wire it in and it doesnt work in which case im sure it'll be the case of swapping afew wires round.
May have a look tomorrow, depending on when i get home/weather/how tired i am!
Worst case it can fill your engine with water and totally screw it up!
Why even bother with this stuff aqau mist/methanol is normally used on mega high boost applications unless your running over 200bhp you may as well just get a bigger fmic so much easier to fit and no water or wiring to screw up and prob cheaper!
I'll obviously test the kit before final fitment.
My FMIC is quite big already (AWT item)

Unless they are dangerously high then its a bit pointless fitting it!
aquamist makes a decent benefit to forced induction. Paul borthwicks 1272cc saw something like 15-20 bhp from a flowed head and aquamist and said the water injection was noticeable on the road.
and you should see the benefit with an eaton as they run really high temps as they are inefficent compared to a g charger.
Mr slag, not being funny but aquamist DOES work on these cars. I know the theory, I know what it does and I know how it works. But you can talk about theory till you are blue in the face, the fact is we've proven that it does what we expect on a dyno, without it you need to either back off ignition advance and/or reduce boost pressure, both of which cause a loss in power. With aquamist on with a 50/50 mix of water & methanol more power can be achieved, I'm not just saying what I think or what should happen but what we've actually done, in real life, on a real dyno. I appreciate that you are a knowledgable guy and that you hav years of experience but please, please just stop trying to tell us that we're all wrong about everything, it's starting to annoy me. Be more open minded.

Got it 90% worked out:
Tank ---> filter ---> pump ---> acctuator ---> injector.
Boost switch into pipe from TB and wires to pump and ground.
Sound right?
