always wanted to know why this is caused and what problems can come of this
some engines just do normally. Or it can be worn bores and/or piston rings. Or on a g40 it can also be leaky charger oil seals allowing boost into the oil system.
its just that i have the pipe coming from the dome at the rear of engine running into the wing and down to the floor. when i stop the car for a while a small oily patch is left. or if the car is running when standing still on dusty ground it blows all the dust up from the floor.
should it be breathing tht heavy or should i run the pipe elsewhere?
there are new rings fitted 1200miles ago
i will also have to look into the possible leaking oil seals. where is best place to look, in the boost pipes i assume. also the boost gauge is showing a fraction higher boost than normal. unsually get around 1 bar but its showing around 1.1bar. which im sure is not right as i havent tightened the belts anymore and dont think the charger will like that anyway
some engines just breath heavy mate its nothing to worry about as long as you keep an eye on the oil level.

you need to put a catch tank on the end of the pipe.
i have a catch tank linked up halfway down the pipe. then another pipe from the catch tank to the floor. should i just have the catch thank instead and block the end off that leads to the floor. will the engine still be able to breathe if this is done.
what about the slight increase in boost pressure. what would have caused this?
i have checked in the boost pipes and they are fine. no excess oil

dont just block the pipe u need to run the pipe to the catch tank tehn have a filter on the other end that you have pointing at the floor although while the pipe is pointing down to the floor you will still get oil vapor running down the pipe throught the filter and on to the floor u need to have the filter above the catch tank to stop the oil coming out of the pipe.

ahh i see, my pipe is way below my catch tank. i will have to rethink this one as the catch tank is fitted in the bodywork near the top of the struts
