Title: g60 injectors
Post by: dub-disaster on October 10, 2009, 04:13:44 PM
hi all just a little advice, ive buying some 2nd hand g60 injectors out of a g60 carrado at the moment im running 150ish bhp, first question is do these injectors need to be flowed and matched ? what do they do when they flow and match them, secondly do i need a new map to suit them and all the other mods ive got? because i dont realy want to buy a new chip every 5 minutes because i ve done a new mod a gt inlet manifold and 51 mm throttle body will be going on same time as injectors. all help appreciated thanks

The only thing you have to do is to clean the injectors before you fit them. Then, you'll need a chip to run stoich these injectors. If you use the map you have right now you will run very rich

in an ideal world yeah you'd get a custom remap each time you make a change.  But realistically that's not going to happen because it'd cost a fortune!  Best bet is to stockpile what ever parts you want to fit, get it all fitted, speak to someone who can do remapping (ask in the PPP thread in the traders section on here), then they'll supply you with the most suitable map for the spec you have which should get you a working car.  Then you take it to them for a days remapping and they tweak the maps to suit how your engine behaves.
