Title: g40 idling at 4500rpm

driving down a country lane yesterday my car decided it didnt want to stop.
I pulled over and switched the engine off, switched it back on and it went to 4500rpm as it does still now :(

the throttle cable is fine. any pipes come off?
help please... again.

could be a pipe come off, you'll have to have a look.  Does it seem to drive ok when you are driving it?  IF you put your foot down does it pull ok?

Check your throttle body isn't sticking open.
