Title: need a little help!

have a problem with getting a good handbrake last owner i think did rear disc and calipers i think by the looks its running mk4 golf rear calipers with discs unknown the problem seems to be with the cables as one side dose not work other poor adusting only makes one side stick on! could realy do with info on what cables and other bits to get to make them work?? if all fails thinking of going back to drums are they all the same on all mk3's ?

yeah the cables probably haven't been made quite the right lengths.  People generally use mk3 golf cables, cut them down and use motorbike handbrake solderless nipples on the cut-off ends.  You prob need to adjust the lengths and position of the nipples, sounds like both sides are different lengths at the moment.

they are a bitch to get right i have done mine but i will be going to double cable setup eventually.

double cable set up dose that come from later polo's? guess it would be easy to fit new lever and cables from later polo??? ???

if you can get a pic of underneath and the actual bit where the cable goes to the caliper, i will be able to help!

i was just gonna make my own up from mk2 golf ones or summat.
