Title: Is there only 2 earth cables on the engine?
Post by: JimmyG40 on August 17, 2009, 09:00:42 PM
As it says in title, is there 2 earth cables on the engine?
1 from the battery negative to the bodywork.
2 from the supercharger to the chassis leg

there is also one from the coil to the gearbox too, but was wondering if there was another, i couldn't see an obvious one.

Your help would be appreciated
Thanks :)

4:

- battery negative terminal to car body
- supercharger bracket to offside chassis leg
- gearbox top mount to nearside chassis leg
- nearside bonnet hinge to terminal in scuttle tray (although this one seems totally pointless)

It's also a good idea to run a wire directly from the lambda earth point to the battery negative terminal to ensure the lambda has as good an earth as it can.

lambda earth point is on the inlet manifold.
