Im doing a complete service myself as my car hasnt had one for years. The engine has been run on fully synta gold SAE 5W-40. Does anyone recommend to keep using this oil?
Also found a slight problem with soemthing im not 100% sure what it is, got a slight oil leak coming from the area circled in red, but when i took off this rubber cap from the area circled in blue, there was alot of oil that came out. As you can see from the picure.
Is this the oil tempreature sensor? Does it just need a new rubber seal or something?

You should be using Synta Silver or any other decent 10w 40 oil. The gold is a bit thin and meant for modern engines.
Yep thats an oil pressure sender. For it to leak behind the boot, it could have cracked. If the copper washer had failed, then it would be running down the back of the cylinder head.
Ok i will get synta silver and thanks for helping me out with the leak problem. And it does run down the back of head. Cheers!
Is this something i should be looking for?

Notice the different switch pressure in bar? Is there a specific pressure one to get?
you need to take the broken one off and see what's written on the back of it to see which one is it.
I've had one of those switches leak in the past and it chucks a fair amount of oil out.
Yeah it does after a while. Mine has just started to go. The pressure on the bottom of the sensor is 0.15-0.45 bar. Cheers for your help guys.
10/10 for circling the problem area! ;D
