Hi all.
Just a brief message to say a big thank-you to everybody we met and shared the afternoon with yesterday. It is a bit daunting turning up for an occasion when you don't know anybody, but after initial introductions the nerves were settled and the afternoon turned out to be a brilliant event. Fantastic weather and well planned (scenic and interesting !) route and a dozen G's (slightly) tear-arseing around Derbyshire. The guys helped me enormously with the car, which performed better on the way home than on the journey out, and we returned home more knowledgeable than when we started. I am extremely grateful for you spending your time, expertise and knowledge (even though a bit went over the head !) with me. All in all a great afternoon that eveyone should try to attend if it happens again next year. Extremely nice people to be with.
Cheers gentlemen. ;D
Rob+Caroline and Bo

haha, I was happy just to catch you up, you had a fair old head start. Had pretty much ran out of road when I caught up. It looked like you were having fun sliding round corners though.
Good to meet you too rae, we have met a couple of times briefly in the past. Good to meet holly too.
Also good to properly meet supercharged-spaniel, aka Dan. He pretty much kept us all entertained all evening in the boozer with his tales of debauchery.
Plus good to meet lots of other people. Including Tom who I didn't really realise was tom-tds-yorks until sunday!
truth is Pete is a beast..
it was really good to get to meet everyone, like already said people i hadnt or we hadnt met..im still a bit stumped for some of the names though. nice to meet hayesey properly and you and your missus Rae, and Pete the beast, Sam and Nick once again...ill defo be there next year too
Hi everyone.
I was the guy that stopped when you were all parked up on Woodhead Pass,
Must say all your cars were immaculate and me and Jake were really impressed

Gutted to miss this (again!) - looks like you all had a cracking time!
How's the wagon going now Hayes?
mitzi - really glad you took the effort to post these up! Could you possibly email me some high-res copies of them all? And do you mind if we use a couple of them on the site as they are really good pictures. My email is paul@polog40.co.uk
andy - ran well all weekend, still sometimes getting the issue where it takes a few turns to start when it's warm but been sat for ten mins or so, not sure what that's all about. If it's cold then it fires up right away, or if it's warm and you restart it within a minute or so then it's OK too. Not sure if it's something lurking deep in the map or what really. To be honest I can live with it because it's not like it doesn't start. Looking forward to getting the ignition mapped and getting the aquamist connected up now.
Quotereally? i honestly thought i'd never met you lol... oops!
I think I said "owdo" to you ayt edition last year if I remember rightly, thought I'd seen you at DK's house once too, not sure. That was the first time we properly spoke in real life though.

many thanks
Mitzi
Hi chaps just thought i would make a proper appearance on the forum for once and say a big thanks to everyone who was involved in the weekend! Was really great fun......apart from the snooring lol and was great to meet everyone putting names to faces.
Cant wait til next year! ;D
Easy, Matt (red G40)
Ps. Sounds like vapour lock Haysey, used to get it on my imp rally car a lot til i insulated all the fuel lines in the end and put a one way valve in.
yeah that did cross my mind Matt. Perhaps with higher under bonnet temps due to the turbo. Might look into a one way valve.
mitzi - nice one, cheers mate!
Mitzi = legend..proper sound two lads who turned up out of nowhere and just happened to have a full on paparazzi camera and started snapping?! only thing they didnt have was lighting and bounce cards lol..really nice photos mate..cheers!.Dan - (white g40 on the end) i was the one talking to you quite a bit.
mitzi is currently emailing me high res copies of loads of pics he took so if anyone else wants any, let me know! They are bloody good photos.
Looks like a cracking weekend!
Promise I'll make it next year, turbo power is superior then?? ??? Thought you lader boys would be taking advantage on the twisty roads ;D
Hayesey- sounds like the fuel evaporating in the line, even my stock GT used to do this in the height of summer after a good thrash.
I have got to go next year! Gutted I couldn't make this. :(
same here, i'll make sure i'm there next year looked good some quality pictures of some ace looking G's :)

Would of loved to get a few more pictures of you all going down the cat and fiddle lol

yeah on the saturday we went further up woodhead, then down strines and then onto a pub/campsite near bakewell where a few pints of ale some nice pies were enjoyed. Then on sunday morning we drove over the C&F and onto tatton park for the VW-NW show.
You guys from Buxton neck of the woods then?

this isnt a shout for publicity as you all know we pulled up and took some pictures because we wanted to but if your bored or fancy joining another freindly forum (which i did today :)) then log onto www.kroozinnorthwest.co.uk. Im a mod on there, full of freindly people, plenty of good banter and our meets are now quite popular too :)
If you guys have ever got another run out like you did at the weekend, give us a shout if you need a photographer :) Provinding its not too far that is
Thanks for all the comments guys. As Jake said if you need a photographer for anything let me or Jake know and i'm sure we can sort something out ;D
Cheers for the rizla Hayesey :D
I'm also admin on kroozinnorthwest and we would love to have some of you guys on board, as Jake said we do have quite a lot of meets which normally have quite a good turnout.
i signed up..but its one of the damn 'wait for activation code' websites..hopefully its not as bad as the 205 forum which requires you to introduce yourself and everything before you can view anything..
Ah this looks like an awesome weekend! I'll be there next year for sure, get to meet some of you guys and also would love to be part of a rally that size!!

Hi jakexe thanks for you and mitzi for posting them great pics up. least someone shown up with a proper camera ;) ;) which says a lot for me as i forgot mine, lol ;D
