Hi guys,
I gave the g a clean today and thought id go for a little drive while the weather's sweet to let it dry off properly.
What i found was under acceleration it pulls to the left and when you loose off to slow down it pulls right, what's even worse is under braking it pulls severely to the right. My first thoughts were maybe some kind of mounting, but i had a check over the mountings and all seem to be fine and in tact, any other things i could check?
Thanks.
The pulling to the left when accelerating could be down to torque steer. Not sure how bad G40s are for that. Could also check the tracking and possibly uneven tyre pressure?
could be worn front anti roll bar bushes, have a look at the arb and look for shiney spots at either side of the bushes as that's a sign it's been moving about.
if it pulls to one side under breaking, have you checked your brakes out?
mine pulls to the left under acceleraing but to be honest only if you let go of the steering wheel which is only really if im eating a BLT sandwiche and texting a bird on my phone at the same time lol.. no seriously they do but if its under braking one side must be defective..brakes wise or like hayesey said.
Not simply tyre pressure is it? My mini used to be badly affected with this until sainsbury's got the digital "beep when done" tyre-pumps...?
Worth a check?

Thanks for your suggestions guys. I turned left round a corner on the way home and because of having my window down i heard something drop off like a bolt, so i pulled over and there was a pretty major looking bolt in the middle of the road. Got home and had a browse, luckily because of the way id pulled on my drive the wheels were fully locked to the right and luckily i found it, it was 1 of the 2 bolts which bolt through the inner arch into a bracket that the anti roll bar fixes to, had a pretty big shank on it so it must be a bolt of importance. So i popped it back in and torqued it up, back to normal!!
phew ha ha
I know mate, 1 bolt causing so much grief!
they are VERY hi-tensile bolts IIRC, so replace like with like. also they are loctited from the factory. Don't do as someone did on a car i had 'ooo, i have no loctite, i'll use grease'
Haha serious? Used grease instead lol. I'm going to replace them this weekend.
How the hell can you substitute grease for loctite? Geez.......
Lol theres all sorts of people out there mate.
