ony my g i have to adjust the drivers side front coilover about 1/4 higher than the the other side of the car to get the measurement from the centre of the wheel to the wheel arch to be the same, also when i bought the car it rubbed badly on both sides when conering so i raised the coilovers up both the exact same amount the passanger side front didnt rub any more so i then had to raise the drivers sid ethe extra 1/4 inch does this mean my chassis leg is bent i am running 150bhp and dont have a sub frame ? if it is bent how does it affect the car and is it possible to straighten it out or is it majory damaged ??
not sure, but the polos tend to lean to the drivers side on mk3s, i think cos they were made for a lhd with drivers weight on that side.
My polo did the same thing! you could even notice when looking it from behind with no one in it! But i found out that it was the rear suspensions silent block bushes that had given away on my 2year old suspension, causing one side of the car to stand lower! There is enought space for the bushes to slip horizontally when gone bad so the suspension doesn't stay straight anymore! replaced them and the problem was fixed
What are the silent black bushes? Are these the ones on the front on the arb they look like nylon blacks with a hole in them for the arb? If not what are they?
Mycar sits lower sits lower on the drivers side especialy at the rear is ther any other bushes or anything I can check??
As pete says olops tend to lean to the drivers side cos of the extra weight so it may just be that.
Mine for some reason used to lean the other way which was a right head stratcher, turned out to be a combination of sh&gged rear axle bushes and a leaking shock so you might want to consider these. As it seems to be the front causing you the problem possibly ARB bush (get some polys on there if a subframe isn't imminant) and/or a leaking shock or even a snapped spring?
