Title: Rad Fan
Post by: ModeC on June 24, 2009, 11:41:59 PM
Mine is making some comical noises, i suspect the motor is on the way out. Anybody know whether vdub fitted the same fan to other polo/golfs? I reckon a trip down the breakers is in order.

Cheers!

it's a two speed fan on a g40, GTs also have them but I don't think any other models did.  I could be wrong though!

probably be cheaper to replace it with an aftermarket slimline fan!

2-speeds were fitted to lesser models too, my CL has one.

I had a feeling that might be the case, hence my initial "I could be wrong" statement :)
In typical VW of Spain style it'll probably be totally random!  You'll be able to tell because a twin speed has a 3 pin connector and a single speed has a two pin one.

It has been know for GT's to come with single speed fans, my blue one did. Like Hayesey said, just look for the 3 pin connector plug and your sorted.
