a 2WD Sierra Cosworth intercooler?  When I had one of these it had new end tank fabricated with the pipe connectors pointing out sideways rather than at funny angles like they do standard.  I had a aluminum top pipe which connected to the IC outlet using a single 90deg silicon elbow.  To go from the charger outlet to the IC inlet was three 90deg elbows and alu joiners.  Got the silicon parts from http://www.siliconhoses.com/

But there's no single way of doing it.  Mount the intercooler where you want it and then work out what pipes best suit whatever setup you currently have.

you can buy straight pieces and elbows and stuff. If you want one to specifically suit a g40 engine bay and run all the way from the IC outlet to the throttle body (which is what I have) then you'll have to get it made up.  Or I have also seen them on german ebay from time to time.
