Title: Running a bit rich!
Post by: Justin14100 on May 21, 2009, 12:36:19 PM
Well, on idle there is a vast smell of petrol! and i think, generaly the engine is running rich!
Lowered the idle speed and has seemed to have helped, anybody know what turning the top of the CO sensor with a screwdriver does?

Engine spec (from what I know)
65mm pully on an R1 charger and Jabba chip + induction kit with heat shield.
Might have other bits but dont know intirely!
How can i make it run a little leaner! (supercharger belts are quite loose too, but I should be tightening them soon, kinda hard to do it at the road side!)

CO Pot essentially alters the mixture at idle but you need to have the car on a gas analyser to set it correctly.

if its very rich, theres a few things it could be

1. lambda probe
2. blue temperature sender
3. co pot
