I am looking to run a Bar-tek (Bosch) adjustable fuel pressure regulator as i plan to use a Bosch 044 uprated pump to keep up with the demand and just wondered if anyone had any experience with them?
Unless you want to run higher fuel pressure (and have a chip to suit), then you'd be wasting your money.
Well im planning to have a chip made by you guys at PPP to run the car in on, then once run in, seeing where i stand with getting some rolling road time and a proper map made up to get the most from the build. Surely at this stage it would become a benefit to have one fitted?!
Uprated pump is fine, and a sensible addition. But you don't need to up the fuel pressure, so the standard FPR does the job.
An adjustable FPR is a quick/easy/pikey way of increasing the fuelling. If you're planning on getting the car remapped, the map is what'll tweak the fuelling as required.
I just thought they would make life easier when it came to mapping etc but if you think not then i shall place my hard earnt else where. Cheers Andy
