yep, have you asked quaiffe what sort of oil to use?  Not sure about those ATBs but different LSDs are very sensitive to the oil you use.  Both me and yoof found that our Grippers were noisey and very snatchy using the silkolene oil that I always used with my gemini diff which was fine.  I spoke to Gripper and then we both swapped to a Morris oil they recommended and the diffs behave much nicer.

Quaife said to just use whatever oil VW recommend.

ok cool, I guess it's not so much of an issue when your have a diff that doesn't have clutch packs in it.
