Title: Pipe missing?
Post by: BrettG40 on April 25, 2009, 07:59:26 PM
Hi guys,
just purchased a G40 today, well happy with it. Just a quick question though, the pipe that normally goes from top of charger in through rocker cover, out rocker cover and onto throttle body is non existent, a blanking plate is in place on the charger, and i have a slight oil leak which i presume is from a breather pipe that should be connected to the missing pipe, any ideas?

Thanks.
Brett

it's quite a common modification to remove the "boost return" pipe.  The oil leak sounds like whoever did it hasn't connected the breather pipe up to a catch tank which you have to do when removing the boost return pipe.

Oh ok, thanks for your reply, so the throttle body and rocker cover stay as they are with no pipe on them at all? Ok ill look into a catch tank, or purchase all the required pipes.
