Post by: GAF2 on April 19, 2009, 08:22:20 PM
Need to replace the rubber fuel hose on my car there are showing their age, just wondering what size is it, is it standard size for all cars or is it 6,8 or 10mm diameter?

cheers

There's different sizes, I had to replace the section to the fuel rail on mine.  I originally used some from halfords but that didn't last very long leading to a nice petrol fountain feature under the bonnet, anyway I replaced it with some from the vw dealer which had a much thicker sidewall.

From what I remember it wasn't cut to size and came in x metres.

make sure you get hose which is for high pressure injection systems and not for cars with carbs which is what it sounds like Neil had.
