you mean the inner one that the cambelt goes round?  I use a steel bar with two holes drilled in, bolt it to the sprocket using the outer pulley bolt holes and then let that hit the ground to hold the crank still and undo the bolt with a breaker bar.

if you just mean the outer pulley then you don't need to touch the centre crank bolt.

to undo the inner pulley bolt i tend to use a chain whip with a bit of old cambelt in the teeth.

usually does it!
but if yr just want to get the outer pulley off (that holds the charger belts) as hayesey says, you just undo the 4 allen bolts

i have had a look at the 4 allen bolts, 2 came out easy enough. the other 2 look as if they have been rounded at the allen end, dont wanna try anymore as i dont wanna make it harder to take these out.

a common thing!  You'll have to hammer torx or spline bits into them.

or hammer a socket over them

sorted this now

hammered an allen key into it
pulley wouldnt come off as the bodywork was in the way of the pulley and it was a 6 groove pulley so wider than the usual

i took the engine mount off and dropped the engine down so that the pulley was able to pass the bodywork.

snorted now

alternator pulley tomorrow
