MODEL: Mk3 G40

ENGINE:1272cc PY, Full Blend PSD charger with 60mm pulley (i think?), GT inlet manifold, De-wedged throttle body, sports HT leads, induction kit & heatshield, decat exhaust system with upswept tailpipe.

SUSPENSION:Standard

BRAKES:Standard G40 brakes with grooved disks.

WHEELS:G60 steels - Yokohama 195/45/15 A539 tyres.

EXTERIOR:Clear side & front repeaters, Plate holders, pressed plates (shows only), german passenger side rear cluster (no reverse), stickers in rear side window.

INTERIOR:Boost & air/fuel gauges, momo steering wheel, OMP gearknob, Shiny handbrake lever i found at work.

ICE:Alpine tv headunit, sony speakers in stock locations, Rockford fosgate T10001 amplifier and Rockford 12" DVC subwoofer, fusebox & inline voltage meter. Security is man with a shotgun! lol.

COMMENTS:

I brought the car from G40will (cheers mate  ) and basically kept it clean, shiny and running. Got several things which i want to change upgrade as finances allow. Shortly be changing the wheels to 13 x 7 ATS classics to try and improve handling/acceleration. I don't have any interior pics as its usually too messy to take any! Seem to be racking up the miles pretty quickly but i find it so much fun to drive. Might be something to do with the smaller pulley its running!!!

Are you sure it's a 60mm pulley - that is small and don;t think it can be that good for the charger  ???

not 100% sure. tried to measure it but couldnt get an accurate measurement without taking it off! Seemed smaller than 65mm anyway. Doesn't matter now as its ben replaced with an eaton!!

I thought richie tried out a 61 or was it 62 and the charger would only last a few weeks

OK, time for an update............

chargers currently out whilst i sort out the leaking seal. hopefully i can get a seal from the chaps that supply bits to our mechanic at work.

new pipercross air filter to be collected later so i can get that air intake all finished and working.

Aquamist system turned up yesterday  ;D Need to download the installation manual and read through it 100 times so i know where every bit goes although im not sure which nozzle is which  ???

All thats left to do then is bleed the brakes and hope they work again and then get it MOT'd.

Pics to follow when ive taken some.

Blimey, havent posted in here for a while!  ;D

Since the lost post, ive done quite afew miles and the cars eaten (not eaton) its way through more belts than i care to mention so with abit of funding from the bank of mum & dad, i brought the engine and turbo set-up from tommy. I was gonna sell the engine but the sale fell through so i decided to keep it just incase a project come up in the future that needed abit of extra umph.

I've already got the turbo and manifold in and it looks quite good although the turbo looks abit lobsided so to speak, doesnt sit 90degress to the slam panel?? The oils also been drained along with the coolant and the intercooler and rad removed.

Jobs left to do:

remove sump and fit new sump with oil inlet for turbo.
change oil filter and re-fill with oil.
swap bottom pulley over to run standard alternator belt
fit intercooler and boost pipes
swap over and wire in turbo throttlebody
fit alternator
buy & fit chip.

Bits left to buy:
alternator belt
silicone pipe reducer
sump gasket (possibly)
PPP turbo chip

Pics to follow when i find a way to upload them from my mega old nokia phone onto the pc without a cable??!!!
