Who has experience of smaller steering wheels in their G's then?
I don't even know how big a std G40 one is? 320mm?
Cheers!
I think the std G40 one is 360mm, I could be wrong though!
I've got a 300mm wheel in mine which was fine as when I had the normal seats in, anything bigger used to hit my knees!
Now that my seat sits lower I will be getting a slighty bigger one as 300mm is bloody small!
I used to have a 280mm steering wheel (actually the previous owner did)..
When i bought the car it was the most annoying thing on it... It was tyring when i tryed to park/unpark the car cause of the lack of power steering...
Plus, when i was in rush i was hitting the swiches and the wipers was turning on... ;D
The only possitive in that case is that i had a faster response in steering...
BUT 280mm is waaaaaaay to small
I have a 320mm and thats much smaller, I wouldn't get anthing smaller. The standard one is 360mm
Cheers guys, should've just got the old tape measure out!
I only wanted to go a tiny bit smaller (so 350mm, maybe 320mm by the looks of it) but really like the look of the momo team, biggest size is 300mm though which will be too small for sure.
What other smaller VAG/non VAG wheels are people running?
300mm perfect! I have a MOMO one. :)
And muscles like Big Arnie's I'll bet.
I have a 280mm momo on the G40 breadvan I just bought.
Seemed to be pretty good when driving but was a bit of a nightmare when parking! Still going to keep it mind as it looks pretty cool in there :)
