Post by: boyzey on January 23, 2016, 09:06:01 PM
Hello all not on the g but my daily gt. I have no fuel pump I belive the ecu at fault through tests so far. I have put a ignition live to pump relay for now so it is running all time. My question is shuld the in tank pump prime for few seconds then turn off and stay off. Or does it get a live from dizzy and run whenever engin turning any info would be great

All mk2f Polos should prime both pumps when you first turn the key.

Yes I no buddy but ther is a fault with mine so it dosent. I now the high pressure pump obviusly runs all the time. I would like to no if this is same for the intank pump or does this just prime to fire engin up then nock off. Or does it have to run constantly ? Cheers for reply

Runs all the time when the engine is running. It's wired in the same circuit as the main fuel pump. Whatever the main pump does, the lift pump does too.
