We can offer a full custom mapping service to suit your individual needs. contact us for details.
hi are you gonna be doing any chips to suit an eatoned g40?
steven
Long term for me, but more beneficial to you in the short term; A chip for a 1.4 or even a 1.6 GT.
Steven- In the future we will have the ability to custom map cars, so would be able to cater for eatoned cars too.
What sort of price would i be looking at for a custom map/map fine tuning of my car once its up and running?
Juan
Circa £250-£300. Can I just make clear that we will do this in our spare time, Andy is a Calibration Engineer for Ricardo so has the necessary credentials to map Polos :)
The main issues with mapping arise when a project car comes to you with several niggling problems, all which may not be apparent to the owner. We'll also offer a G40 health check service sometime in the future, diagnosis of problems, fine tuning cam/ignition timing etc.
giorgio- 1.4 and 1.6 Digifant maps are on the cards, Andy's currently hacking the stock stuff to pieces so when know where each individual maps are 8)
uprated map sensors - like a G60item for example so i can run more boost with an eaton? I'd be interested if so.
The very ones ;)
Hi Pete,
How about you get a full list of all the parts you sell through your company?
I'm sure most are aware of your subframes etc, but it'd be good to have a full list of everything with current prices and availability.
I'll be interested in a Map#G40009 and an uprated map sensor in the future.
sweet. Whats the postage on these sensors and how hard are they to fit? I'll have to have a word with Phil ;-)
Richard- We're currently having a big reshuffle, Andy now helps me with the business, we've also stopped selling any German made parts as they're currently too expensive. Once we've sorted things out properly I intend to have all that we sell in stock, even with our current limited product range that's a few grands worth, which we're a long way off!
Jon- Postage is £5, they're light but I'd rather send them insured :) If you can solder then they're simple to fit, what do you need to speak to Phil about?
the hardest part of fitting them is de-soldering the old sensor from the PCB. If you've got a decent temp controlled soldering iron and a solder sucker then it's no problem really. I imagine yoof will offer a fitting service where you send him your ECU and he'll get the sensor fitted for you.
Phils fitting my eaton kit & 1341 for me, plus some other bits and bobs. I'd do it but i wouldnt give it 5mins before it explodes! Why you ask?
phil who? ???
Phil J ??? ???
:D
Whoooooooooo-oooooooooooooo are you, who who, who who.....
tried to private mail you but no luck lol
hi mate, do you have one of the above in stock. and does this best suit my car (well as far as an off the shelf mod goes) heres what i have
stage 4 charger
k and n filter
piper cam
de-wedged throttle body
65mm pulley( well when i get the chip that is)
full throught stainless exhaust
many thanks for you help
Craig
Might be interested in one of these. The base map on my current one for 300cc reds is very erratic at low throttle, once the micro switch is engaged for a short period.
Hi I have just rebuilt my 1341 with a
big valved head and newman cam
310cc red top injectors ( I still have the green top 250cc I think if that would suit your map better )
stg 4 Jabba charger with toothed belts
it still has the standerd exhaust manifold but with a custom downpipe and exhaust
GT inlet with de-wedged TB
and a bigger front mount intercooler
I'm looking for a chip to run this engine in could you tell me what chip would be best suited?
Cheers Dave

Hi Dave - just in case you don't see my reply on Club Polo:
I'd recommend Map #G40005 for that spec, but you'd have to use your 250cc/min injectors.
You won't need the 310cc/min units until you're pushing 200bhp - and you'll need to run smaller than a 65mm pulley on the G40-lader or ditch it for something else to achieve that with 1341cc.
Cheers,
Andy

Hi Craig,
Assuming you're 1272cc and running standard injectors then I'd recommend either Map G40002 or Map G40001.
Andy
Gotta just add that Yoof and Andy are very clued up about these maps which they are selling, i have been a map mule for most of the G lader maps and Andy is always ensuring that each map is correct for the spec.
All the G lader maps are tested and proven so if anyone is worried out the quality of the maps then don't be.
Extremely happy with the level of knowledge with both guys!
Hay
Im in the market for a new new chip and been recomended by many to speek to you!
my spec at the mo is
PDS 65mm toothed pully
full blend +
fmic
brm
stand alone oil supply
13row oil cooler
4-2-1 de-cat exhaust
sebring 63mm straight tho exhaust
ive got a gt manifold but not fitted and was thinking i might need 250cc incectors?
which chip do you suggest?
Thanks
Dom
Hi Dom,
Thanks for the PM, what's 'BRM' Boost Return Mod?
Depending on your future plans- if you're aiming for more power it may be advantegeous to fit the 250cc injectors and gt inlet at the same time.
We can do maps to suit your stock injectors or 250cc/min ones.
Cheers
Peter
Hi
Ive sent a couple of PM's to yoof but had no reply back so im not sure if they are being recieved.
I would like to purchase a G40 chip - map G40005.
Could I have payment details to transfer the money.
Cheers
Rob
Rob & Dom - you should both have PMs back from me. :)
can i use the Map #G40005 on a 1308cc engine, everything else on the list i have
If you're 8:1 CR rather than the 9:1 of the Accralite pistons you may benefit from a little more ignition advance than the chip offers, but for a generic chip to get you up and running it should work well.
im not sure about the CR to be honest
they are carl schmit 1308cc pistons and im using the metal head gasket
its running at the moment with the custom map it had from pitstop a few years ago, but that was set up for the eaton and smaller pulley, now i have the glader with 65mm pulley so im sure air/fuel will be way off. runs ok but sounds a little rough so i would rather something more suitable
any idea what CR the pistons would give me
hi how do i go about ordering a Map #G40003 chip?
this is all new to me...
Hi
I would like to puschase a G40003 chip, can you PM me some payment details, also does your chip replace the removable one under the metal shield in the ecu?
Regards Rob
Yes, the chip replaces the one under the metal EMC shield.
If you're interested in a chip, please send me a PM with your engine specification and I will advise as to the most appropriate item (we have a few 'flavours' of the chips advertised for slightly different specs) and send payment details by return.
Hi
I have a G40 which is basically standard apart from the following:
4 branch manifold and stainless system
drilled airbox
I want to go for a 69mm pulley and a chip to suit (I thought I'd go for a 69mm (ish) rather than 65mm to save wear on the charger, if this makes sense??)
can you supplly the chip and pulley?
cheers
Mark
Hello
I have now managed to get a pulley from Jabba sport (65mm) and need a chip. my spec is in the post above, I'm assuming i will need Map #G40001 ?
I could do with it fairly quickly as I am putting the pulley on on Friday and don't really wnat to run the car too long with the pulley and no chip.
can you let me know payment details, I can wire across or use the missus' paypal account.
cheers
Mark
hi i'd like to order the Map #G40003 for my g40. how do i go about this??
Hi there,
Send me a PM with your car's specification and your address. I'll send you payment details by return, and get a chip out to you once you've paid.
Cheers,
Andy
will do mate, just need to find what cam im guna run
thanks
darren
pm'd :)
PMed also <3
PMs replied to.
If it's chip stuff then it's best to PM me rather than Yoof. ;)
in need of a map sensor can you pm details please
PM'd you back on Club Polo Rae. ;)
Yoof did you ever get round to looking at a 1.6 GT map? My engine is getting tweaked over christmas and I dont want to sacrifice my stand-alone for a GT.
Would need to be a custom map- but we can do it :)
hi yoof
wanted to know some things about a chip and a sensor 250
pm sent
hi Yoof
I am waiting for answer to a pm I sent you
wanted to order the sensor chip and the car is ready so the left and the sensor chip to run
how do I pay
I'm new here in the forum, but I saw that you sell chips, and members are very happy with the chips
I would like to know how to buy a chip for my g40 turbo
hug
do you offer a fitting service for the 250 map sensor? i.e i send you my ecu and map sensor and you fit the new one for me ? let me know
steven
Yes we do. This is £100 + P&P if you want this service - alternatively we can supply a MAP sensor with fitting instructions for £40 + P&P.
Please note that as I modify the ECUs in my spare time the turnaround will be approx 4 weeks, as my day job and DIY are keeping me bloody busy! If you need one in a rush let us know before ordering and we'll advise what we can do.
Andy
Are you able to knock up a safe map for a 1w set up?
Hi Rich,
If you send me a PM with your spec I'll let you know what your options are.
Andy
hi andy would you be able to do me a Map #G40007 chip but for 1272cc instead?
PM me your spec and I'll let you know what we can do.
hello mate just wondered which would suit my polo best
modificaitons as follows
jabbasport r5 supercharger
g60 injectors
ported and de-wedged throttle body
toothed belts and pullies
powerflow stainless backbox and stainless steel pipe from cat back
but cat has been removed
hope that helps with which one would suit my car best
many thanks matt
Hi Matt,
What's the R5 Jabba charger? Also are the pullies 65mm?
Cheers
Pete
hello pete will give you an answer of size of my pullys tomorrow
hello pete
the r5 supercharger is just a stage 5 supercharger basically

hope this helps with answering my question of which remap i would need look forward to hearing from you with an answer
many thanks matt
oh i forgot to ask how would an uprated map sensor help my g40 my polo boots just over a bar of boost if you need to know that
Don't jabbasport normally call that an R1?

If it's only just over a bar I'd stick with the stock MAP sensor.
You using standard head, cam, bottom end and intercooler?
im using my standard head and cam i only gained the extra boost due to my toothed belt and pulleys ill stick with the standard map sensor im just rather keen to remap my polo so if someone can get back to me with an answer that would be awsome thanks
Hi im interested in one of your chips stage 1 what some of gains HP and Torque wise would i get from it??
many thanks

What's your current spec? We do chips to give safe fuelling and ignition timing for a certain spec - or full remaps to wring every last bit of power from your engine. Power gains will vary depending on your specification and what chip you're currently running.
at the moment its got the standard chip, and pulley, want to put 65mm pulley on with your chip and get my injectors cleaned by you to, just wanted to gain a bit more power than standard, what do you think i would get from the above too? ball park wise? sorry for this question new to G40 ownership byw :D
thanks in advance
chris
my spec on my polo is as follows
jabba sport r1 supercharger
g60 injectors
bored out ported and polished de-wedged throttle body
toothed belts and pullys running a 60mm pully
powerflow stainless exaust system from cat back with cat removed
so i would like to know which ecu chip would be best suited to my car many thanks matt
can you please tell me whats the rev limit of #G40001?
i want to go from totally stock to a 65mm pulley and i'd like a chip to match! i have in the shelf a sns nolag but i think it's too agressive for such mod.
greetings
André
xandyx - Rev limit is 6600rpm, but can be changed to whatever you like.
matthg40 - G40003 is best for your spec. Do you really have a 60mm pulley? 65mm is normally the smallest size used.
Any new enquiries, please email our chips address:
chips@poloperformanceparts.co.uk
Can i order a chip please? (G400009)
Email the above address and we'll sort it. A full engine spec list is also helpful in your email, we have several 'flavours' of each chip so try to give you the most appropriate setup for your mods.
Done ;)
all the turbo maps are for 1341, do you have 1272 maps?
can i have payment details for a base map for my g40 turbo conversion please??

hi guys,
Any ideas when i'll get the base map for my car? because i want to get it running.
thanks josh
Should be with you by Monday Josh. :)
thats brilliant, hopefully i can get it running etc, then arrange a date for mapping.
thanks josh
Have you got a map suitable for the following
T25 Turbo
G60 Green Injectors
250kpa MAP Sensor
GT Camshaft
GT Inlet
Dewedged TB
Jabba Induction Kit
6psi boost switch
Basically I have an unknown turbo map, unsure if it can be unpicked to find out what spec its for, but I do want to upgrade to a 250kpa map sensor and G60 greens (currently running std MAP and G40 injectors)
ta
Not got owt like that off the shelf Saf, would have to be a custom map. I've yet to see a car that has a true 'T25' map - all I've seen so far have been copies of Marshall's old chip, which was a G40 greens map with shitloads of fuel thrown in above 4000rpm.
Greens will be pretty much on their limit at 200bhp on a G40, so depending on what boost levels you're thinking of running, you may want to get larger injectors.
hi im after a chip please for a g40 engine with gt manifold,r1 charger,intercooler,65mm pulley, slightly ported head and manifold, exhaust.
future plans are g60 injectors,4 branch,51mm throttle body
could you please tell me what might be the best chip for the job thanks
No worries fella, idles well and drives reasonably well, but I've always known it'll need a decent map for longevity and just to drive as well as it possibly can.
I'm not wanting to push massive power, the 170bhp that the g-ladered lump was more than plenty, and probably what I want to run with this, means it should be quick and reasonably reliable.
Whats your available like over Dec/Jan for mapping? and what sorta price we looking at? Is it done by the hour, or X amount for a mapping session and Y for tweaking later?
It is worthwhile getting larger injectors now, and getting the map done to suit, or just sticking with the greens if im happy around 170-180?

G40003 would suit your spec. Priced at £50 plus £5 P&P. Email: chips@poloperformanceparts.co.uk to order.
Please note I'm currently away with work, so it might take 10-14 days before I post your chip.

I'd stick with the greens if you're aiming for 170-180bhp, and I think you'll also be able to stick with the stock MAP sensor at that power too. A K03 and turbo cam at 15psi is good for 170-175bhp, so a T25 with GT cam is likely to be in a similar ball park.
We charge £300/day for mapping, and that's plenty of time to get a map done as long as there are no mechnical failures and we start mapping in the morning. I've got no availability during December (I'm away with work at the mo), there might be 1 slot at the end of Jan - but it can be very weather dependant at that time of year!
Best to email our chips address (chips@poloperformanceparts.co.uk) to arrange getting booked in - I've got a few people on a waiting list already for the New Year.
you guys have an email for the g40003 chip thanks
Looking to get a chip from yous very soon, Within the next few weeks hopefully. As i emailed S-tech and they said my current chip is only setup for 1 bar of boost? So does that mean it would of been running lean above 14psi ? Anyway more to the point. What would be the best chip to use.
Current turbo setup:
Volvo T5 turbo on a tubular manifold.
250cc injectors
Turbo cam ? Im not sure what make it is, Its only got 3 numbers on :S but the lobes are pretty big and it looks like its got marks where its been profiled.
GT inlet with Dewedged TB.
unsure about the map sensor ? Will be buying one from you most likely.
Ported and polished head
Front Mounted IC
Thanks,
Nicky.
Hi my car is now running and driving so will be ready for mapping as soon as you have a spot free I have emailed you a few times on your other email address could you please let me know when you have a spot free ?
Nicky - PM'd you back again.
timmitime - will ping you a reply via email. I'll start doing mapping again end of Jan 2012, at the moment the weather's too bad to do any on-road mapping.

I'm doing a batch on Friday, so if your payment has cleared by then it'd be with you on Saturday.
sent you guys a email for the chip
Any news on my chip lads ? Need it ASAP, Its booked in for the rollers on Saturday.
Cheers.
hi can you supply me with a chip cars not runnning rite think this could be the cause if so how can i get in contact
Email your full engine specification to: chips@poloperformanceparts.co.uk and I'll get back to you.
It's always worth checking the engine diagnostic guide on here to verify all sensors are working properly and ensuring your ignition and cam timing are set correctly before relying on a chip swap to address running issues.
Still do these?
Yes.
Email: chips@poloperformanceparts.co.uk with your engine spec and requirements.
Cool Didn't realise your on this again, congrats on the little un Andy
Still doing chips, but it'll be a few weeks at least before I book any custom remaps in.
I've sent a message about 3 weeks ago but ill send it again :)

I'm with Martin on this, need it doing when I jump up to 1.5 bar
Once the weather is a little better then yup!
Andy I'll send you an email aswell, looking for a bigger map sensor and 22psi turbo map. I'll obviously have to send you my spare ecu. You can either pm me or reply to my email.

I'm after a g40005 chip please
Hey ,
I purchased a g40 chip 0002 of a member of here , now the car eventually will have stage 4 charger , piper cam , 65 mm pulley shortened belts , k&n panel , port n flowed , colder plugs , now is this too much for chip or bang on?
Would a generic map be safe enough or a live chip be better ?
Plus it says engine timing needs to be cock on ? By timing light? Dizzy cap?
Cheers Danny.
There are several 'flavours' of each of our chips, so I try to match it to the original purchaser's spec. If you can let me know the serial number of the chip I can give you an idea of what mods it was done for.
Cracking job have to find it ha.
Cheers.
In fact if you have a members list or sold to list
Was martins (physicsfool) from Malton
found chip ser: 00000113a

Looked it up now you've added the serial number... It's just a straight G40002 map, so for stock injectors; chip and pulley and aftermarket camshaft.
If you've had the head ported then the chip should be okay with mild porting, but head mods can be a lottery with some being wildly different to others - so a custom map can be beneficial.
What is pricing and arrangements for one of those ?
I would prefer a custom job for peace mind.
Cheers Danny.
I'm after a g40002 if possible?
Lads, if you can email: chips@poloperformanceparts.co.uk with chip requests please. If you stick your full engine spec in the email we can advise on what we have to suit best.
Andy

Yup yup :)
